In my role as the manager of 3D EM core facility at CQCI my aim is to provide service to academic and non-academic users (within the UW system and outside) through imaging pipeline from sample preparation to 2D/3D imaging, and with the use of electron tomography obtain structural insights into cells and organelles across species at room temperature.
My background is in mammalian cellular physiology with wide experience in electron microscopy including cryo-electron microscopy. I am also interested in the study of viral replication pathways and viral egress from the cell, autophagy pathways in plants and animals, bacteriophage mediated antimicrobial activity and the structural components involved in these pathways.
